早上出门的时候我记得带了雨伞。上班到下午，窗外下起大雨。下班时我翻遍背包，却找不到伞。我回忆了半天，才想起把它靠在公司茶水间的窗边了。茶水间已经关灯锁门。我只好在大楼门口等雨变小，顺便刷手机打发时间，足足等了四十分钟雨才小一些，然后冒雨快步赶去地铁站。
My translation
I remembered that I carried my umbrella when I left home on the morning. It started to rain heavily outside at noon. When I finished the work and meant to head home, I could not find my umbrella even I searched all over my backpack. I searched my memory for quite a while, then I realized I have left it aside the pantry window. The pantry has locked up, so I didn’t get my umbrella. I had to wait at the gate for the rain to get slight. In the meantime, I scrolled my phone. I’d waited for nearly forty minutes before the rain getting slighter, then I headed the subway in the rain.

When I finished work and was about to head home, I couldn’t find my umbrella even though I searched my backpack thoroughly. I racked my brain for a while then realized I had left it beside the pantry window. But the pantry was locked, so I couldn’t retrieve it. I had to wait at the gate for the rain to lighten up and scroll through my phone while I waited. I waited for almost forty minutes until the rain eased, then I headed to the subway station in the rain.
